Support + Accountability

You have a project you’ve had in the back of your mind for years but never seem to move forward on it. You have a website you need to make, a book you’re struggling to write, or a passion project that’s eating away at you. Creative Soul is designed to support you as you move through the creative blocks and fear that hold us back from sharing our work with the world or even creating it at all.

Hi, I'm Michelle.

Creating is something that has always come naturally to me. It is the way I have processed life and shared my soul. As a kid I wrote plays and performed them for my family, as a depressed teen I wrote poetry from tree limbs and made up songs I sang alone in my room.

I have always been an ambitious risk taker to some regard, stepping into a partnership in a premium denim store in Philadelphia weeks after college graduation, beginning an organic “bakery,” running a clothing line, and establishing a graphic design business. I eventually went on to start Pushing Beaty, two words I felt summed up my soul, and the creations that went along with it.

I’ve moved through the deep fears that hold us back from sharing our souls, even going on to publish a book that opens with me in the most unflattering moment of my life—heartbroken, sobbing on my bathroom floor. I’ve shared my voice on my own podcast, shared my face on my YouTube channel, and share my creations as they unfold.

Taking anything close to your heart and sharing them with other people is one of the most terrifying things I have ever done and—as with most things in life—also the most rewarding. On the other side of that sharing is a release, a liberation, and a soul satisfaction that is indescribable. I created this program to support you in moving through the blocks that hold you back from bringing your creations to life.

How It Works

You’ll come into the program with something you plan on working on. This program is about committing to making progress on your project. We’ll begin our first group session by setting goals and intentions for your time together.

We’ll meet for 6 group sessions toward the beginning of the program on a live video platform where you’ll have an opportunity to update the group on where you are in your project. You will have an opportunity to share small pieces of writing, web design, marketing copy, or anything else you’re in the midst of creating.

These 6 sessions are designed to build momentum around your project and help you move through any areas where you’re stuck. After the sixth session, you’ll have several weeks on your own to make further progress before you meet with me for a 1:1 check-in session during “Office Hours.” This check in session is an opportunity for you to receive guidance and support in any area you may need.

In addition, we’ll be meeting once per month as a group to continue to check in and hold you accountable on your goals. We’ll finish the program with a final group session to present what you have accomplished over the four months.

Office Hours

After our six group sessions, you’ll have an opportunity to schedule a 30 minute 1:1 session with me to ask questions and receive guidance on your project. In addition, I will have open “Office Hours” during the program one Friday per month. You can book a 30 min ($85) or 60 ($175) min session. These sessions will only be available to those in the program. This is an opportunity for you to get feedback, ask questions, and receive guidance where you’re stuck.

Facebook Support Group

There will be a private Facebook group available where you can share your work, connect with others in the program, ask questions, get feedback, and where I will share inspiration and resources on creating.

For those who live in time zones which make it difficult (or impossible) to attend live, this is a great way to connect and share. In the past, members have created videos with their check-ins and posted them in the Facebook Group if they couldn’t attend the live group sessions.

Who It's For

This program is for those who have something specific they are ready to create or are in the midst of working on and are looking for guidance and support in making progress or completing their work. You might be starting a Soul Based Business, launching a program, creating a website, writing a book or script, or creating a podcast.

In addition, this program can serve you in a number of ways:

  • Sharing anything we are creating makes us feel vulnerable. In that vulnerability we find growth and healing.

  • If you’re a perfectionist, this program will give you practice sharing where you are in process.

  • Let the group inspire you. Hearing other people share their work and being vulnerable inspires us to show up for ourselves in the same way. Listening and witnessing others can motivate you to begin creating.

  • Using your voice to express yourself in front of other people over time will change you. I know from experience. You might feel nervous, cry, and then feel lit to keep creating. There is no safer space to share your heart and soul than with other sensitive creatives.

  • Creativity is a powerful ways to expedite your healing, get to know yourself, and serve others through your expression (yes, what you have to share means something to others!).

  • Stifling our creativity keeps us small and blocked. Working with your voice, visibility, and creativity each month will help you open and transform.

Dates & Deets

This is a program that will run 3 times per year for 4 months at a time to allow you to create goals for 4 month chunks and accomplish them. You can continue on for each program run if you like, and current members will always get first dibs on registration.

Can’t make them all live? No problem! All sessions will be recorded and available to watch from the Facebook group.

Q: I don’t know what I want to work on yet. Is that OK?

A: It is, but you need to choose something by the time we begin the program. The point of this program is to support you in accomplishing your creative goals and that can’t be done without having a project in mind first.

Q: I don't consider myself a "real" writer/artist/business person. Is this still for me?

A: Yes! I have felt that way in the past myself. This program serves as a space for you to be supported in expressing your creativity. This is for your soul, not your ego. All are welcome no matter what previous experience you have.

Q: Four months is not enough time for me to complete my project. What then?

A: My intention is to run this program 3 times per year. If you want to continue on for the next round(s) you are more than welcome to.

Q: Are we doing any Breathwork?

A: No, but there are several ways you can do Breathwork on your own or with me throughout the program. Feel free to inquire.

Q: What experience do you have to support me?

A: Great question. I hold space for my clients every day in healing sessions and in group healing circles. My focus is on the way we move through inertia to open our energy and free ourselves. In terms of business and creative experience, more recently I wrote and self-published a memoir, created a podcast, started a YouTube channel, a membership platform, and I continue to create and launch digital and in-person workshops as well as meditations and creative projects. In my twenties I owned and operated a premium denim store in Philadelphia, owned a clothing line, ran marketing operations, created campaigns and executed them, and moved from working on businesses I thought would make me money to creating a successful Soul Based Business.
