Reset is an opportunity for you to retreat to the high desert of California to release unprocessed pain, discharge excess stimulation, and slow down.
How It Works
Most of us live with incredibly taxed nervous systems leading us to burn out, anxiety, and dis-ease. Taking time away from the internet, socializing, and reconnecting to our spirits and nature is essential for our health and well being.
The first thing you’ll need to do to begin your journey to Reset is make room for yourself in your busy schedule. The more time you can commit, the deeper the Reset.
My cabin is about 40 minutes East of Joshua Tree proper, and is the perfect place to ground and heal. My recommendation is to purchase your groceries, buy some good books, and plan not to leave the cabin during your stay unless you decide to make the 20 minute drive in Joshua Tree National Park to connect more deeply to nature.
2 night stay: $111

About Fox & Feather
Fox & Feather is a 1950s cabin in Wonder Valley, California that sits on 5 acres of land with 360 degree mountain views. Fox and Feather is a place to settle in for gorgeous sunsets, evenings lounging on the porch, and peaceful restoration.
We’re a twenty minute drive from the entrance of Joshua Tree National Park. Enjoy a day exploring the incredible rock formations in the park and an evening under a star littered sky in Wonder Valley.
While parts of the cabin have been renovated, it’s still a cozy cabin from the 50s! This means that there might be occasions when air gets into the pipes and could cause spurting sounds out of the shower. The shower pressure is that of a vintage cabin and not a luxury home.
I also advise bringing your own water. The water is safe and has a filtration system in use, but due to close proximity to the mountains, there is a very high mineral content making it not the tastiest water to drink. During very high temps the water can smell a bit sulfer-y due to the minerals and heat.
It’s not uncommon to see coyotes run through the area or stop by for a drink of water in the middle of the night. If you walk around the property, it will be hard to miss lizards, geckos, ravens, and doves. I’ve yet to see one, my snakes are in the area and will leave you alone if you don’t bother them.
Without traffic it will take about 2 hours and 45 minutes to arrive from Los Angeles (coming from the east side). Exact location will be provided upon booking as well as other need-to-know info.
